Botox and Fillers

Treatments with low downtime and safe for all skin types

Having a great skincare routine with quality, tested and proven products such as those in Vivier and ZO Skin Health lines is a great way to prevent and reverse signs of aging and problem skin. However, age, muscle movement, fat loss, gravity, and sun damage among other factors will eventually take their toll. If you are looking to have immediate, and guaranteed results that last a long period of time Botox or Fillers are great options individually and even better when paired together.

What are fillers?

Injectable fillers can give you a more youthful look for a fraction of what a facelift would cost. Most are used to fill hollows, lines, and wrinkles with results that can last from 4 months to more than a year. Best of all, because the results are immediate you will be able to see them instantly after your treatment. Treatments are administered by a doctor or a registered nurse and usually take about 30 minutes.

When to Consider Fillers:

  • You have lines or wrinkles around your mouth, eyes or forehead.
  • You want to enhance volume in areas such as the cheeks, jaw line or lips.
  • You would like to change the contours of your jaw or lips.
  • You want minimal downtime.

What is the aftercare / recovery:

Some people do experience swelling or minimal bruising in the area of the injection site. Hydration before and after the treatment is important for safe recovery. Medications you should avoid before injections are: aspirin, ibuprofen, Vitamin E, and always make sure to inform your injector about any medicines you are taking.

What is Botox?

It’s a poison that is derived from bacteria. When injected into the skin it temporarily relaxes muscle areas by blocking nerve responses that trigger contractions. The result from paralyzing these nerve responses are the softening of wrinkles which modifies facial expression.

When to consider Botox:

  • Deep lines between your eyes make you look tired, angry, sad, or upset.
  • Your facial expressions cause wrinkles in and around your eyes and forehead.
  • Your eyebrows or face don’t look even and can be corrected by relaxing a muscle.
  • You suffer from migraine headaches or excessive perspiration.
  • You would like to prevent wrinkles from forming.

What is the aftercare / recovery:

How long botox lasts varies from person to person but, usually averaging at about 4months, it has been shown after multiple treatments the effects last longer. Botox is not instant and generally takes several days for the full effect to be apparent. Slight pain, temporary swelling, and minimal redness and bleeding may occur.
